Grab your hook, red yarn, and let’s crochet Red! 🧶🐦
Materials | Terms Used: |
---|---|
- Textured red (light/fine weight) | sl st – slip stitch |
- Textured pink (light/fine weight) | ch – chain |
- Solid orange (sock/super fine weight) | sc – single crochet |
Hooks: 1.3 mm and 2-3 mm | inc – increase |
Fiberfill stuffing | dec – decrease |
Tapestry needle | hdc – half-double crochet |
2 red + 3 black feathers | BLO – back loop only |
White/black felt for eyes | FLO – front loop only |
Plastic safety eyes (or felt/drawn) | () – stitch count per round |
Important:
- All rounds are worked in continuous spirals unless otherwise stated.
- Use a stitch marker to count rounds.
- If you prefer sewing the pieces, leave a long tail at the end. The toy looks cleaner if you sew with a thinner thread (for example, a separated strand of the yarn used for crocheting).
- It’s easier to stuff the pieces as you crochet them.
