Materials Needed:
- Yarn in desired colors (recommended: Alize Cotton Gold)
- Crochet hook: 3/0 (2.20 mm)
- 6 mm safety eyes
- Stuffing (fiberfill)
- Scissors
- Sewing needle
Pattern Instructions:
CHICK BODY (Yellow yarn)
Round 1: Magic ring with 6 sc.
Round 2: 6 increases = 12 sc.
Round 3: (1 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 18 sc.
Round 4: 18 sc.
Round 5: (2 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 24 sc.
Round 6: 24 sc.
Round 7: (3 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 30 sc.
Round 8: 30 sc.
Round 9: (4 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 36 sc.
Round 10: 36 sc.
Round 11: (5 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 42 sc.
Rounds 12-18: 42 sc (7 rounds).
Round 19: (5 sc, 1 decrease) x6 = 36 sc.
Round 20: 36 sc.
Round 21: (2 sc, 1 decrease, 2 sc) x6 = 30 sc.
Round 22: (3 sc, 1 decrease) x6 = 24 sc.
Round 23: (1 sc, 1 decrease, 1 sc) x6 = 18 sc.
Round 24: (1 decrease, 1 sc) x6 = 12 sc.
Closing: Gather remaining stitches with a needle, tighten, and secure the yarn.
EYES (White yarn, make 2)
Round 1: Magic ring with 6 sc.
Round 2: 6 increases = 12 sc.
Round 3: (1 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 18 sc. Slip stitch to close.
Note: Sew eyes between Rounds 14 and 15 of the chick’s body, spaced 3 sc apart. Attach safety eyes and stuff lightly.
BEAK
Location: Below the eyes.
Size: 2 stitches wide, 1 stitch down.
Tip: Use the photos as a guide!
FEET (Orange yarn, make 2)
Step 1: 5 chains, work 4 sc starting from the second chain.
Step 2: 6 chains, work 5 sc starting from the second chain.
Step 3: 5 chains, work 4 sc starting from the second chain. Join the first foot to the second with slip stitches. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Note: Sew the feet 3 sc from the last round, spacing them evenly.
EGG (Desired color)
Round 1: Magic ring with 6 sc.
Round 2: 6 increases = 12 sc.
Round 3: (1 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 18 sc.
Round 4: 18 sc.
Round 5: (2 sc, 1 increase) x6 = 24 sc.
Round 6: 24 sc.

Optional: Switch colors or embroider designs with a needle and yarn.

Round 16: 30 sc. Begin stuffing.

Round 10:
- In the same stitch: (1 sc, 1 hdc),
- Next stitch: (1 dc, 1 chain, 1 dc),
- Next stitch: (1 hdc, 1 sc),
- Slip stitch. Repeat from * 9 times.
