Free Coraline Amigurumi Pattern

This is a free Coraline amigurumi pattern created by @calypso.boutiquee. You may make and share it as often as you like, but please do not sell it—this is my original work. If you share your finished creation, credit me as the designer and tag me in your posts.

Materials

• Fine 100% cotton yarn in colors:
  Cream, dark blue, indigo blue, yellow, orange, pink, light brown, dark brown
• 1.2 mm crochet hook
• 8 mm safety eyes
• Soft wire or pipe cleaners
• Fiberfill stuffing
• False eyelashes
• Blush or pastel chalk

Stitch Abbreviations

• MR: Magic ring
• Ch: Chain
• St: Stitch
• SK: Skip stitches
• R: Round
• SC: Single crochet
• HDC: Half double crochet
• SL: Slip stitch
• INC: Single crochet increase (2 SC in same stitch)
• INC3: Double SC increase (3 SC in same stitch)
• SC2TOG: Single crochet 2 together (decrease)
• SC3TOG: Single crochet 3 together (decrease)
• BLO: Back loop only
• FLO: Front loop only

Arms (x2)

Start with skin color

• Rnd 1: MR, 6SC [6]
• Rnd 2: (2SC, INC)x2 [8]
• Rnd 3–4: 8SC (2 rounds) [8]

Switch to pink

• Rnd 5: BLO (3SC, INC)x2 [10]
• Rnd 6: 10SC [10]

Switch to orange

• Rnd 7–8: 10SC (2 rounds) [10]

Switch to pink

• Rnd 9–10: 10SC (2 rounds) [10]

Switch to orange

• Rnd 11–12: 10SC (2 rounds) [10]

Switch to pink

Switch to orange

  Fasten off. Insert wire or pipe cleaners if desired.

Legs (x2)

Start with dark brown

• Rnd 1: MR, 6SC [6]
• Rnd 2: 6INC [12]
• Rnd 3: (1SC, INC)x6 [18]

Switch to yellow

• Rnd 3.5: BLO 18SL [18] (does not count as a round)
• Rnd 4: BLO 6SC, 3SC2TOG, 6SC [15]
• Rnd 5–10: 15SC (6 rounds) [15]
• Rnd 11: FLO 15SC [15]

Cut yellow yarn. With indigo blue, join to 1st st of back loops from Rnd 10 and make 15SC, then:

• Rnd 12: (3SC, SC2TOG)x3 [12]
• Rnd 13–18: 12SC (6 rounds) [12]

Fasten off only one leg. For the second leg, do not cut yarn. Ch 3, join to other leg with SL. In same st, 1SC (marks start of each round). Continue to Body (do not cut yarn).

  • Rnd 5: INC, 18SC, INC [22]
  • Rnd 6–15: 22SC (10 rounds) [22]
  • SC around edge.

Bag

Start with light brown

• Row 1: Ch 9, 8SC [8]
• Row 2–14: 8SC (13 rows) [8]
• Row 15: SC3TOG, 2SC, SC3TOG [4]
• SC around rectangle, INC3 in each corner. Fasten off, leave long tail. Fold into thirds, sew sides and flap.
• Handle: Join yarn, chain desired length, SL to other side.

Firefly

Start with blue

• 9Ch, from 2nd ch: 2SL, 2SC, 2HDC, 2DC [8]. Fasten off.
• Wings (pink): Join to 1st base ch, 5Ch, from 2nd ch: 4HDC, SL to next base st. 4Ch, 3HDC. Repeat on other side.
• Attach to hair.
